Abstract:In this paper, the key problems in the preparation process of carbon fiber paper for fuel cell diffusion layer were briefly described, the research progress in optimizing the dispersion property of carbon fiber in water via chemical and physical methods was summarized. And the factors affecting the dispersion property of carbon fiber in water and the advantages and disadvantages of the various dispersion methods were reviewed, such as the addition of dispersant, surface modification of carbon fiber and treatment by physical dispersion technology during wet preparation process. As well as the certain references for the preparation of carbon fiber paper and reagent selection and process improvement were provied.
