Abstract:Combined H2O2/O3-biologicalaeratedfilter process (H2O2/O3-BAF) was used for advanced treatment of bio-treated wastewater of papermaking (BWPM) to obtain reusable wastewater, and optimum operational conditions were examined by experiment, meanwhile performance of the combined process also was explored. It was found that optimum operational conditions were pH value=7.3~8.4, H2O2/O3 dosage=113/60 mg/mg, oxidation time=25 min, hydraulic retemtion time (HRT) in BAF=2.5 h, volume rate of air/water in BAF=3∶1. Under the optimum operational condition, bio-treatment suitability of BWPM could be significantly enhanced by H2O2/O3 oxidation, CODCr and color in BWPM after H2O2/O3-BAF treatment were always less than 20 mg/L and 10 time, respectively, which met the wastewater requirement in paper mill.
