| Abstract:Residual fume and lime from an alkali recovery boiler were used to produce its self-prepared light calcium carbonate （PCC） for offset paper production. Compared with purchased PCC， the ash dosage of paper with self-prepared PCC was improved by 4 percentage points， opacity and whiteness were improved by 2 percentage points and 3 percentage points， respectively. After project commissioning， when the total cost of filler was kept constant， the average basis weight of offset paper was reduced by 0.3 g/m2， opacity was improved by 2 percentage points， smoothness was improved by 3 s， and thickness and print surface strength were also slightly improved. |
