Abstract:The novel lithium battery separator made of aramid fiber has certain advantages in excellent high temperature resistance, electrolyte wettability, mechanical strength, and electrochemical properties, and has attracted extensive attention from researchers. This paper systematically reviewed the preparation methods of aramid fiber-based lithium-ion battery separators, such as electrospinning, coating, phase inversion and papermaking, etc., and the process, cost, advantages and disadvantages of several methods and the latest research progress were compared and summarized. Finally, the existing problems in the research field of aramid fiber-based lithium-ion battery separators were explored and the future development prospects were looked forward.
