Abstract:Nanocellulose has a large number of hydroxyl groups on the surface and high aspect ratio. It has good wettability and the ability of dispersing electroactive materials. It is a good electrode material substrate, and can be used as the preferred electrode material for supercapacitors. However, the disadvantage of its low conductivity leads to the need for compositing with conductive materials. In this paper, the classification of nanocellulose-based hydrogel electrodes was summarized, the synthesis methods of nanocellulose-based hydrogel electrodes were discussed, the electrochemical properties of nanocellulose based hydrogel electrodes with different conductive materials were compared and analyzed, and their development prospects of application fields in the future were prospected.
