Abstract:In this study, a highly stable bis-triazine stilbene-type fluorescent molecule (FBs) intercalated layered double hydroxide (LDHs) composite light stabilizer (FBs-LDHs) was prepared via co-precipitation method, and its brightening performance and light-induced yellowing inhibition of paper prepared from high yield pulp were evaluated. The results showed that the LDHs could effectively inhibit the photo-isomerization of FBs and improve the fluorescence performance of FBs-LDHs. After 48 h of UV aging, the PC value of FBs-LDHs coated paper was 3.9 lower than that of uncoated paper, and 3.0 lower than that of FBs coated paper, indicating that FBs-LDHs could better inhibit the photo-return of yellowing of highyield pulp paper.
