Abstract:Discharge characteristics and intensity of main water pollutants of paper industry from 2016 to 2021 in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were analyzed, and time-space distribution of water pollutants in Guangxi paper industry was discussed. The problems of water pollutants emission of Guangxi paper industry were pointed out and countermeasures and suggestions were provided. The results showed that the production of Guangxi paper industry increased 40.1% from 2016 to 2021 while the discharge amount and emission intensity of water pollutants significantly decreased. The discharge of CODCr and ammonia nitrogen decreased 63.0% and 81.8%, respectively. The emission intensities of water pollutants of paper industry in Nanning, Liuzhou, and Guigang were higher than the average level of Guangxi. The emission intensities of small and medium-sized enterprises were significantly higher than that of large enterprises in Guangxi paper industry. The production process of paper industry still had great potential for improvement. The reduction of water pollutants should be carried out from two aspects: total amount control and intensity control.
