Abstract:This paper summarized the research on the present situation of bamboo resources and bamboo pulping utilization, carbon storage and carbon sequestration capacity of bamboo forest, and carbon footprint of bamboo products in China. The results showed that China was rich in bamboo resources, and there was great potential for carbon sequestration and exchange increase of bamboo forest and bamboo products. Based on the above research, the development of integrated bamboo pulp and paper industry could achieve low-carbon and high-quality development of China’s pulping and papermaking industry under the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
