Abstract:The greenhouse gas emission characteristics of lime kiln in large-scale kraft wood pulp mills were analyzed, and the main reasons why lime kiln was the largest fossil fuel consuming unit were expounded. Then the pathways of greenhouse gas emission accounting of lime kiln were emphatically discussed. Finally, several possible technical approaches to realize the carbon neutralization in the lime kiln were further proposed, including the use of biomass fuels in lime kiln, integrated technology of lime kiln and carbon capture and storage (CCS), and technical transformation of lime kiln. |
