Abstract:In this paper, the effects of fiber modification methods on the properties of plant fiber foam buffer materials were reviewed, focusing on physical, chemical, biological, and compositing modification methods. The idea of green and sustainable modification of foam buffer materials was proposed through comparing, analyzing, and summarizing the existing research results. In addition, the direction of high-value and green development of plant fibers was prospected, in order to provide bases for the modification and preparation of fiber raw materials or fiber composites.
