Abstract:In this study, corn, tapioca, and wheat starches were selected for the reinforcement of paper literature, and the reinforcement effect and aging resistance of different kinds of starches were compared. The results showed that wheat starch was more suitable for the reinforcement and protection of paper literature, and when the starch absorption was about 5.0 g/m2, the tensile index of the reinforced paper increased by 14.7%, the tear index increased by 29.0%. After 3 days of hydrothermal aging, the tensile index decreased by 1.9%, the tear index decreased by 6.3%, and the chromatic aberration change was 1.48, which had no obvious effect on the appearance of the paper.
