Abstract:Hardwood semi-chemical pulp（SCP） is a better choice for the replacement of recycled fiber pulp. The black liquor from its pulping process can be fully treated by the alkaline recovery process. Compared to chemical pulping and chemical mechanical pulping， the energy consumption and pollutant emissions of hardwood semi-chemical pulping process are at average levels of three kinds of pulping， which showed that the semi-chemical pulping process is a kind of clean production technology.
