Abstract:Modified sepiolite supported cobalt-based catalysts (CoxO/m-Sep) were prepared and used in the oxidative depolymerization of sodium lignosulfonate (SLS). The depolymerization performance of sodium lignosulfonate at reaction temperature, reaction time and initial oxygen pressure was investigated and the catalysts were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), specific surface area and porosity analyzer (BET), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results showed that the lignin conversion was 91.7% and the highest yield of ethyl acetate (EA) soluble products was 16.1% in the CoxO/m-Sep system at a reaction temperature of 200 ℃, a reaction time of 4 h and an initial reaction oxygen pressure of 1.0 MPa. The EA soluble products contained chemicals such as phenol, benzoic acid and diethyl succinate. |
