Abstract:In this study, unbleached sulphate softwood pulp was used as raw material, the polypyrrole/pulp fiber composite photothermal paper with good hydrophilicity and high energy conversion efficiency was prepared via in-situ polymerization process and used for solar-driven interfacial water evaporation. Its surface morphology and structure were characterized, and the effects of pyrrole concentration and the molar ratio of monomer to oxidant on the photothermal properties were investigated. The results showed that the photothermal properties of paper were improved with the increase of pyrrole concentration and oxidant dosage. When pyrrole concentration was 5 g/L and the molar ratio of monomer to oxidant was 1∶2, under the light intensity of 1 kW/m2, the surface temperature of photothermal paper could reach 85.3 ℃ and the water evaporation efficiency could reach 93.13% within 5 minutes. The success development of the photothermal paper with excellent energy conversion efficiency and good recyclability provided a potential technical scheme for solar-driven water purification. |
