Abstract:In this study, the trifunctional group (3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane (APTES) and the difunctional group 3-(2-aminoethylamino) propyldimethoxymethylsilane (AEAPMDMS) were dissolved in alcohol aqueous solution in certain ratios to prepare APTES/AEAPMDMS reinforcing agent which was used to strengthen the paper at different temperatures for different times. The results showed that APTES/AEAPMDMS was sprayed on the paper and filled between the fibers with good permeability. Meanwhile, the reinforcing agent grafted with the paper fibers in situ, which improved the strength properties of the paper. When the temperature was 120℃ and time was 0.75 h, the grafting efficiency was as high as 73.9%. Compared with the original paper, the tensile index, zero-span tensile strength, and folding endurance of strengthened paper increased by 82.2%, 37.4%, and 100%, respectively, while the brightness decreased by 2.35% and the chromatic aberration was 1.42.
