Abstract:Waste paper making has gradually become the leader of the papermaking industry, but the wastewater of the industry has the characteristics of large amount of production and serious pollution. Taking the wastewater from the waste paper making in a paper mill of Shanying International Holdings Co.,Ltd., the characteristics, migration and transformation of dissolved organic pollutants (DOM) in the wastewater were discussed. The characteristics of DOM in wastewater were characterized by UV-Vis spectrum, infrared spectrum, three-dimensional fluorescence spectrum, gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).The results showed that the DOM in wastewater was mainly hydrophobic aromatic compounds and long-chain alkanes, and the molecular weight was widely distributed. After biochemical treatment, the secondary effluent still containedrefractory humic acids. After advanced oxidation treatment, the COD of the wastewater was greatly reduced, and the final effluent DOM was mainly humic organic matter containing benzene ring. |
