Abstract:Colorimetric sensor based on cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) could sense the change of external environment through chromaticity. The combination of its chiral structure and swelling behavior could quickly respond to the stimulation of various external environment. The color change of CNC-based colorimetric sensors under external stimulation of humidity, pressure, gas and organic solvent were summarized in this paper, looking forward to its future development prospects and preparation key points.
