Abstract:Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs) are considered as new green solvents with low melting point, good solubility, low preparation cost, green and non-toxicity, biodegradability, and wide electrochemical window. It shows a broad application prospect in the field of lignocellulosic biomass pretreatment. In this study, the research progress of DESs in the fields of pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass, preparation of nanocellulose and efficient extraction and isolation of lignin and hemicellulose were reviewed, and the shortcomings of DESs in the current research progress and their future research directions were pointed out to provide a theoretical basis and reference for further research.
