Abstract:The composite insulating paper was prepared via wet papermaking with aramid fiber and basalt fiber as raw materials， and the properties of composite insulating paper such as mechanical properties， insulation performance， thermal stability， glue permeability， etc. were systematically studied. The results showed that the breakdown voltage of composite insulating paper remained basically unchanged when the basalt fiber content was lower than 50%. The thermal stability and glue permeability of composite insulating paper increased with the increase of basalt fiber content. When the basalt fiber content was 50%， the tensile strength of the composite insulating paper reached 1.67 MPa.
