Abstract:Lignin is a kind of natural high molecular polymer whose reserves are second only to cellulose in nature. Its structure is an aromatic macromolecule connected by phenylpropane monomer through C—C, C—O—C and other chemical bonds. Degradation is one of the ways to realize the high value conversion of lignin. The heating degradation of lignin in deep eutectic solvent (DES) can be used as an excellent green degradation method. In this paper, the structure and recycling of DES, the mechanism of lignin degradation by DES, and the recent research progress of lignin degradation in DES were introduced. The suggestions and prospects of DES in lignin degradation were also put forward.
