Abstract:The boron-modified phenolic resin (BPF) was prepared via salicyl alcohol method and applied to oil filter paper to enhance its physical properties in this study. The results showed that the best BPF synthesis conditions were as follows: molar ratio of phenol, formaldehyde and boric acid was 1.0∶1.4∶0.2, reaction temperature was 110℃, reaction time was 1.5 h, and its residual mass at 800℃ was 68.4%. When the curing temperature was 180℃, and glue content was (24±1)%, the BPF impregnated cured filter paper had the best performance. The break resistance index reached 2.67 kPa·m2/g, tensile index reached 50.2 N·m/g, the longitudinal stiffness of filter paper was 6.37 mN·m. After aging test at 180℃ for 12 h, the breaking resistance index of filter paper was 1.38 kPa·m2/g, and the tensile resistance index was 44.4 N·m/g. And the rupture resistance was 196 kPa after aging test in oil at 150℃ for 192 h, which met the quality requirements of JB/T 12651.1. |
