Abstract:Nanocellulose was widely used as green material in food and chemical industry due to good biocompatibility and degradability. The amino nanocellulose obtained from the amination of nanocellulose retained the advantages of nanocellulose, and the positive charge on its surface endowed the amino nanocellulose with antibacterial properties to be used in biological and pharmaceutical industry. In this paper, the nanocellulose preparation methods were firstly introduced, the characteristics and differences on several kinds of nanocellulose in terms of preparation methods and morphological dimensions were discussed. And the amination methods of nanocellulose involving the commonly amination reagents and procedures were summarized. Finally, the antibacterial mechanism and applications of amino nanocellulose were reviewed.
