Abstract:The differences between elliptical, spherical, spindle and petal light calcium carbonate were compared in this study. The different forms of light calcium carbonate were applied to the production process of cigarette paper. The results showed that elliptical light calcium carbonate had the best ash condensation performance, spherical light calcium carbonate was the second, and petal light calcium carbonate was the worst. Spindle light calcium carbonate had the best air permeability, followed by petal light calcium carbonate, and elliptic light calcium carbonate was the worst. The retention rate of elliptical and spherical light calcium carbonate in cigarette paper was significantly higher than that of spindle and petal light calcium carbonate.
