Abstract:The high-value utilization of cellulose was the key to the transformation and upgrading of the traditional pulp and paper industry to a comprehensive platform for efficient utilization of biomass. The hydrophilic hydroxyl groups on cellulose surface could promote the nucleation and growth of crystals through coordination and charge effects, making cellulose an excellent substrate for loading inorganic nanoparticles. Cu2O was a p-type semiconductor with visible light catalytic activity and broad-spectrum bactericidal properties. It could be used in sensors, energy storage and conversion, antibacterial materials and other fields. The research progress of Cu2O loading on the cellulose by hydrothermal method, chemical liquid phase reduction, and electrochemical deposition were introduced in this paper. The application of Cu2O-cellulose composite materials in the fields of photocatalytic degradation, antibacterial materials and new fabrics was summarized. Finally, the future development direction of Cu2O-cellulose composite materials was prospected. |
