Abstract:Due to the problem that anhydrous calcium sulfate (CaSO4) added to the papermaking system in the factory production practice would seriously affect the dyeing efficiency of PG yellow dye, an improvement method of adding polyacrylamide (PAM) into the slurry was proposed in this paper. The effects of cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) and amphoteric polyacrylamide (AmPAM) on the dyeing efficiency of PG yellow dye were studied. It found that both of CPAM and AmPAM could effectively improve the dyeing efficiency of PG yellow dye when the addition of CPAM was 0.05% or AmPAM was 0.06%. In addition, it showed that the addition of two additives could also improve the retention of CaSO4 fillers. Finally, the influence mechanism of two kinds of polyacrylamide on improving the dyeing efficiency of PG yellow dye and the retention of anhydrous CaSO4 filler was further inferred. |
