Abstract:In this study, PMIAF was added in kraft hardwood pulp (KHP) to prepare KHP/PMIAF composite paper. The morphology, structure, crystallization properties, mechanical properties, thermal stability, UV shielding and wetting properties of KHP/PMIAF composite paper were characterized by various means. The results showed that the strong hydrogen bond between meta-aramid fibrid and hardwood pulp had existed. The tensile strength of the composite paper increased at first and then decreased with increasing weight content of PMIAF. When the mass ratio of KHP and PMIAF was 7∶3, the tensile index of composite paper reached the maximum of 14.9 N·m/g, which was 96.8% higher than that of KHP paper. The UV shielding, thermal stability and hydrophobicity of the composite paper could also be improved by adding PMIAF. |
