Abstract:The effects of the amount of alkali, the immersion time and the pulping process on the yield of moso bamboo chemical mechanical pulp, the refining energy consumption, the quality of the pulp and the properties of the carton base paper were explored. The results showed that pulping yield was closely related to the amount of alkali and the pulping process. The pulping yield decreased as the amount of alkali increased. Screw extrusion of the bamboo chips after immersion would reduce the pulping yield. The refining energy consumption was mainly affected by the amount of alkali. When the amount of alkali was 8% and above, the refining energy consumption with a freeness of 300 mL CSF was stable between 300~400 kWh/t pulp. The pulp strength was improved by increasing alkali consumption. Screw extrusion of the bamboo chips after immersion not only improved the pulp strength effectively, but reduced the alkali consumption. When the amount of alkali was 8%, the tensile strength of pulp with a freeness of 300 mL CSF was higher than 25.0 N·m/g, which met the pulp of carton base paper requirements. When the ratio of moso bamboo chemical machinery pulp was 60%~70%, the prepared carton base paper could meet the requirements of superior products in the industry standard. |
