Abstract:The hot water, green liquor and bleach pretreatment were used to change the lignin content of bagasse and spruce cellulose nanofibers and explore the effect of residue lignin content on the thermal stability of cellulose nanofibers. The results indicated that the lignin content of SCB-HW and SP-HW was 16.1% and 8.9% higher than SCB-GL and SP-GL, 22.7% and 24.3% higher than SCB-B and SP-B, while hemicellulose the content was relatively low. The thermal stability of SCB-HW and SP-HW was 4.3% and 5.4% higher than that of SCB-B and SP-B, respectively. Conclusively, the different pretreatment changed the lignin and hemicellulose content of cellulose nanofibers and impacted the thermal stability of cellulose nanofibers.
