Abstract:In this study, indium nitrate was used as the source of indium, thioacetamide as the source of sulfur, zinc nitrate as the source of zinc, nano indium zinc sulfide (ZnIn2S4) was loaded on pulp fibers (PFs) in situ to prepare ZnIn2S4/PFs composite paper, and its photocatalytic performance for formaldehyde removal was explored. The successful loading of nano ZnIn2S4 on PFs was confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), and scanning electron microscope (SEM). UV-Vis DRS analysis showed that the ZnIn2S4/PFs composite paper had photocatalytic activity. It was found that the formaldehyde removal rate of ZnIn2S4/PFs composite paper first increased and then decreased with the increase of indium nitrate dosage. The formaldehyde removal rate of the prepared ZnIn2S4/PFs composite paper reached the highest (73.14%) when indium nitrate dosage was 4 mmol. The tensile index of ZnIn2S4/PFs composite paper only decreased by 5.1% when it was placed in the natural environment for 30 days, illustrating the ZnIn2S4/PFs composite paper was of very good environmental stability. The formaldehyde removal rate of ZnIn2S4/PFs composite paper decreased by 26.94% after three photocatalytic cycles, it showed that it had good recycling performance. |
