| Abstract:In this study, para-aramid papers impregnated with curing resin were used to simulate the cell wall of aramid paper honeycomb, the influence of the proportion of resin in the cell wall on the mechanical properties of the honeycomb cell wall was studied. Plastic bucking mode of the honeycomb was determined by impregnating the compression failure morphology of para-aramid paper honeycomb with cell wall edge length of 1.83 mm and density of 80 kg/m3, the key influence factors of the out-of-plane compression strength of the honeycombs were the honeycomb cell size, thickness and tensile strength of the cell wall. The measured compression strength of the honeycomb was in good agreement with the theoretical one. |
