Effect of Waterborne Acrylate Coating on Barrier Property of Aluminized Base Paper

Abstract:The effects on properties of directly plated aluminum lining paper coated by waterborne acrylate coatings and the traditional aluminized base paper coatings were compared and analyzed. The results showed that when the waterborne acrylate coating was used to replace the traditional aluminized base paper coating， the smoothness of directly plated aluminum lining paper increased from 2243 s to 12436 s in the best case with an increase of 4.54 times； the water barrier capacity increased from 45.8%~73.3% to 97.9%~99.4%； the ethanol barrier capacity decreased from 98.1%~99.1% to 95.3%~97.4%.
