Abstract:Nanocellulose is a new type of biomass nanomaterial prepared by lignocellulose or bacteria. It has a high specific surface area, excellent physical and chemical properties, and good biocompatibility. Taking advantage of these characteristics, nanocellulose has found its broad applications in the field of electrocatalysis and energy storage materials. The preparation methods for different types of nanocellulose, as well as the research progress of application of nanocellulose-based composite materials in the fields of electrocatalysis and energy storage, are detailly summarized in this review. The development prospect of nanocellulose-based composite materials is also discussed.
