Abstract:Silver nanoclusters have excellent fluorescence emission properties and antibacterial activity, if they are loaded on paper, it can give the paper luminescence and antibacterial properties. In this study, the silver nanoclusters were successfully prepared on polyacrylic acid grafted cellulose by photoinduced reduction of silver nitrate. Finally, the cellulose loaded with silver nanoclusters was made into paper by traditional papermaking process, therefore, the process of loading of silver nanoclusters on paper realized. In the process of preparing silver nanoclusters, the carboxylate radical modified to the cellulose pulp played a triple roles of chelating agent, template and reducing agent. The fluorescence spectrum analysis showed that the prepared pulp exhibited fluorescence emission performance, and the optimal excitation wavelength and fluorescence emission wavelength were 355 nm and 555 nm respectively, which suggested that silver nanoclusters were successfully prepared. After the pulp was made into paper, the paper still retained the fluorescence emission properties of silver nanoclusters. In addition, the functional paper had good whiteness and excellent antibacterial properties, and the antibacterial experiment showed that the diameter of the antibacterial circle was 14 mm, when silver nanoclusters pulp content was 10%, the tensile index of functional paper was 39.3 N·m/g, which will make the functional paper had potential applications in the field of antibacterial filter membrane and packaging. |
