Abstract:The smoldering performance and potassium content of cigarette paper were studied in order to identify the cigarette paper from other kinds of similar paper. Experiment results showed that there were apparent difference in smoldering performance, smoldering distance and potassium content of cigarette paper and other similar thin papers. These two combustion characteristics and potassium content could be applied to the identification of cigarette paper.
