Abstract:In order to realize the comprehensive utilization of bamboo raw materials, using of chemi-mechanical method to extract xylan and the residues for papermaking was explored. The results showed that the optimal process conditions for the extraction of xylan by chemi-mechanical method were as follows. The bamboo chips treated by the screw press for 4 times in 35% consistency, then impregnated with alkali(6% dosage) solution(liquid/mass ratio 4∶1) for 90 min under room temperature, adjusted again the amount of alkaline to 80%(the alkali concentration was 10%) and the liquid ratio to 1∶8.Then the stock was pass through the PFI mill with a PFI mill rotation speed of 5000 (infeed distance of 0.1 mm). Finally it was heat-treated in an autoclave with a temperature of 125℃ for 45 min. The yield of xylan reached 85.1%. The crude xylan was analyzed by FT-IR and 1H NMR, whose results showed that the crude xylan contained arabinose, glucuronic acid besides xylan. The results of papermaking experiment using the bamboo residues showed that the residue after extracting xylan could be used for papermaking, and the paper sample could meet the strength performance index of qualified cardboard paper products in the national standard GB/T 13024—2016. |
