| Determination of Moisture in Filter Plug Wrapping Paper by GC Method |

| Abstract:In order to accurately determine the moisture in filter plug wrapping paper， a gas chromatography-thermal conductivity detector （GC-TCD） method was established by using acetone as internal standard and methanol as extraction solvent. The test results of the developed method were compared with those measured using national standard method. The results showed that the limit of quantitation，recoveries，relative standard deviations of the developed method was 0.12%， 96.42%~101.00%，1.93%， respectively. The result of GC-TCD method was about 70% as high as that of standard method. This method eliminated the errors caused by volatile components in filter plug wrapping paper in the determination of moisture， and offered more accurate and reliable results. The method was suitable for determining the moisture in filter plug wrapping paper. |
