Abstract:The effects of factors such as fiber characteristic, beating degree of the pulp, chemical fiber content, the tightness of paper, surface sizing and reinforcing agent addition in pulp on the air permeability and bursting degrees of dust collection bag paper were studied. The research showed that decreasing the pulp beating degree could effectively increase the air permeability of paper. With the beating degree decreasing from 10~11oSR to 8~9oSR, the paper air permeability increased by above 53%. The higher addition of chemical fiber would result in the increase of the air permeability of paper. With 15% addition of chemical fiber, the air permeability increased by 108%. Reducing the amount of chemical fiber by reducing the pulp beating degree was a better method with better cost performance. The bursting strength increased by 45%~55% with the density increasing from 0.3 g/cm3 to 0.4 g/cm3. With the surface sizing amount of 5 g/m2, the bursting degree increased by 80%~110%.
