Abstract:It is well known that chemi-mechanical pulping of wood materials is superior to chemical pulping in many aspects, such as better adaptability for raw materials, higher pulp yield, lower capital investment and more compact production lines. This paper reviews the development of chemi-mechanical pulping in China since adopting the Reform and Opening-up policy in 1978. Based on the summary of production experience, the existing problems in the production of chemi-mechanical pulping are pointed out, and the relevant problems are analyzed and the technical suggestions are given in this paper, which can provide references for the equipment manufacturers and the pulping enterprises. With the implementation of the policy of the restriction on importing waste paper from abroard, there is a big gap in the supply of fiber raw materials for Chinese paper industry, the high-yield pulping technology of non-wood fiber raw materials will be on the threshold of a new era.
