| Abstract:During printing process of offset paper grade B of PM9 in a printing house, serious linting, plate pasting and partial web breaking occurred. The analysis showed that the main reasons were low surface strength of the paper, the surface strength two-sidedness. This paper mainly discussed how to increase the surface strength of the paper, and improve the surface strength of the wire side. By optimizing refining process,adjusting retention and filtration system of wet end, paper strength was increased,by adjusting the dewatering curve of the wire section, the surface strength of wire side could be significantly improved. Finally tuning sizing parameters, adjusting drying curve and increasing soft calendering linear pressure were also benefit to upgrading the paper surface strength. |
