| Abstract:The paper brittleness problem not only shortens the preservation life of the documents, but also limits the use, research and inheritance of the documents. Therefore, it is urgent to reinforce the brittle paper documents. The materials used in the existing reinforcement technology can be divided into natural materials, synthetic materials and composite materials. This paper introduced the research progress of paper reinforcement technology from these three aspects. Considering the actual situation of document protection in China, this paper put forward the principles that should be followed in carrying out the reinforcement work and research direction in the future, aiming at providing reference for the reinforcement treatment of brittle paper documents. |
