Abstract:Based on the previous studies, the corncob pretreating by dilute sulfuric acid was used to prepare xylose. And the pretreating parameters including solid-liquid ratio, acid concentration, reaction temperature and time, were optimized through single factor test and orthogonal test. The results revealed that reaction temperature was the most single important factor during the process of xylose preparation. Furthermore, the high yield of xylose could also be obtained when the acid concentration and reaction time decreased. The optimum conditions of xylose extraction from corncob by hydrolysis: solid-liquid ratio of 1∶10, concertration of H2SO4 1.2%, temperature 120°C, and reacting time 90 mins. At these conditions, the yield of xylose reached up to 86.36%. |
