Abstract:Bismuth oxyhalide (BiOX, X=Cl, Br, I) wasin situ deposited on pulp fibers (PFs), BiOX/PFs composite photocatalytic paper was prepared, and its formaldehyde removal performance was evaluated. The study found that BiOI/PFs composite paper had the best formaldehyde removal performance under the same BiOX deposition rate, and the formaldehyde removal rate reached 75%. Compared with BiOCl/PFs composite paper, BiOBr/PFs and BiOI/PFs composite papers had superior visible light photocatalytic performance, their formaldehyde removal rates were 61%, 74% and 75% respectively. BiOX/PFs composite photocatalytic paper was characterized by means of scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Characterization test results had proven that BiOX successfully composited with PFs. Finally, the photocatalytic mechanism of BiOX/PFs composite paper was discussed. |
