| Abstract:The practical on-site measurement methods of the rolls and felts in press section are contact test and non-contact test. The best measurement point for a felt should be the central contact point of the warping angle. Based on so much of on-site measurement data from the typical press configurations, the result indicating there are five different types of speed difference in the press section(and the possible root causes). The assessment criterion of the five types of speed differences and suggestion of the key points of speed difference control in press rection were discussed. As many of the data and the analysis were totally beyond our habitual thinking, it would be really practical and helpful for papermakers to analysis and control the speed difference problem in press section. |
