Abstract:Sound-absorbing and flame-retardant paper was prepared from basalt fiber and softwood fiber by wet process and impregnating with binder and flame retardant. The effects of basalt fiber dispersion, moisture content of wet paper, binder and flame retardant dosage on the properties of sound-absorbing and flame-retardant paper were studied. It was found that the dispersity of basalt fibers was the best when the dosage of dispersant was 0.006%. The optimal prepartion conditions were as follows: the ratio of softwood fiber to basalt fiber was 7∶3,the wet paper dryness 30%, the impregnation time of 30 s, the drying temperature of 140℃, the contents of binder and flame retardant in sound-absorbing and flame-retardant paper were 14.9% and 11.63%, respectively. The basis weight of the paper under the optimal conditions was 60 g/m2, the tensile strength was 1.03 kN/m,porosity was 75.6%, and carbonization length was 43 mm, the flame retardant effect reached level 1 of the flame retardant standard, and the highest sound absorption coefficient could reach up to 0.84. |
