Abstract:A kind of high yield pulp was prepared from whole corn stover using environment-friendly hydrothermal pretreatment method. On the basis of studying the characteristics of fines in the pulp, the effects of the content and change of morphology of fines on the properties of pulp were discussed. The corn stover high yield pulp had high water retention value and high fine fraction content. Fines content had a great influence on strength and dewatering performance of the pulp. When 30.7% of the fines were removed, the tensile strength, burst strength and ring crush strength were higher than those of original pulp. High-pressure homogenization treatment could change the shape of fines, when adding 20% fines with high pressure homogenization to the fiber fraction of high-yield corn stover pulp, the degree of beating was similar to the original pulp. At this time, the tensile index, burst index and ring crush index of high-yield corn stover pulp were increased by 30.8 %, 59.5 % and 25.2% . |
