Abstract:The iron of Fenton sludge from Guangzhou Paper mill wastewater treatment system was recovered by using acid leaching, and high efficient flocculant polymeric ferric sulfate(PFS) was further prepared in pilot scale test. The optimized conditions were found to be 2 h for first reaction with sulfuric acid neutralization and followed by 2 h iron reduction reaction, the solid concentrations of 25.0% to 26.7% ferrous sulfate solution was prepared. For subsequent preparation of polymeric ferric sulfate(PFS) preparation, the ferrous sulfate solution was catalytic oxidized by sodium chlorate, the basicity of resulting PFS was 10.8%.The flocculation effect of the prepared PFS on the anaerobic effluent of Guangzhou Paper mill was preliminarily evaluated. The research showed that the effluent CODCr could be reduced to 260 mg/L, the corresponding CODCr removal rate reached 71.0% when the addition amount of the prepared aqueous solution of PFS was 5 mL/L. |
