| Abstract:In this paper, the PVA/Tencel separator was prepared via papermaking process and using Tencel fiber as saw material which is with fully fibrillating characteristic, the properties of the resultant separator with basis weight of 28.8 g/m2 were as follows: wet tensile strength 300 N/m, average mean flow pore diameter 3.52 μm and maximum pore diameter 20.50 μm. Compared with the hydrophilic separator with basis weight of 25.5 g/m2, the PVA/Tencel separator had a greater wet tensile strength, more uniform and smaller pore size. |
