Abstract:As a natural polymer, lignin is characteristic of great abundance, renewability and degradabilityin nature.The lignin recovered from the wastestream of pulp and paper industry is mainly used in the production of concrete water-reducing admixture, petroleum extraction aid, pesticide synergists, dispersants, etc. However the added-value of these products is very low. This review summarized the research progress regarding to lignin-based bisphenol A type epoxy resin and focused on its main preparation methods especially direct blending and curing of lignin and epoxy resin, synthesis of epoxy resin by lignin epoxidation and modified lignin based epoxy resin. |
