Abstract:Carbon fiber reinforced plastic（CFRP） is a light weight， high strength， high performance composite. The fabrication of CFRP with low cost can greatly boost the development of new energy vehicles and other products. In this paper， preparation of carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic（CFRTP） based on papermaking process(wet process） was proposed. The method had the advantages of simple process， low cost and easy recovery of carbon fiber. The paper discussed the influence of modulus， length and usage of carbon fiber as well as molding process on the mechanical properties of the materials. The experimental results showed that the preparation of CFRTP by wet process was feasible. When the carbon fiber content was 30%， the tensile strength, bending strength, notched impact toughness of the materials were 110.07 MPa, 208.59 MPa and 42.89 kJ/m2, respectively. And the porosity of the material was the lowest and the mechanical properties were the best．
