Abstract:The application of imino disuccunate（IDS） as chelating agent in H2O2 bleaching of eucalyptus pulp and bagasse pulp was studied. Through single factor and orthogonal experiment， the optimum conditions for the use of IDS as the chelating agent for H2O2 bleaching pretreatment of eucalyptus pulp and bagasse pulp were obtained. The results showed the optimun conditions of IDS application for the eucalyptus pulp bleaching pretreatment were: temperature 60℃， time 50 min， IDS dosage 0.3%；for bagasse pulp H2O2 bleaching pretreatment， the optimum conditions were: temperature 70℃，time 60 min， IDS dosage 0.8%. In comparison with EDTA， the chelating effect of IDS was similar， but IDS was easy to be biodegraded without causing secondary pollution．
